Your Role - We are looking for a LCA Engineering Expert with experience in carbon footprint calculations, LCA process and ISO standards to join our Solution Engineering team. 

Your Mission - You are intrinsically motivated to combine business execution and GHG reduction for our customers. Through your own technical knowledge and business expertise, you’ll become a key strategic position at Carbmee and the go-to person for other teams to bridge their knowledge gap and shape the future of our product.

Your tasks
  • Manage end to end the LCA cycle and data analytics of our product

  • Perform modelling and calculation of the carbon footprint for our clients

  • Own and prepare LCA reports for internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure the successful data import from our customers into the Carbmee’s platform

  • Develop strategies and best practices for utilising and analysing primary and secondary data from our clients and their suppliers

  • Perform compliance evaluations and ensure that Carbmee’s product develops and operates in compliance with the GHG protocol and ISO standards

  • Bring in environmental technical expertise and share your knowledge with other teams on LCA, Scope 1,2,3 emissions and GHG protocol

  • Join the Solution Engineering team and work closely together with data scientists, data engineers, project managers and environmental engineers

  • Act as the bridge between Solution Engineering, Customer Success and Product teams by sharing your knowledge and expertise and accelerate the impact of our software solutions

  • Be part of the Carbmee team as LCA engineering expert and get the unique opportunity to work with the biggest organizations in the world to help them reduce carbon emissions

Your profile
  • You have a background in environmental engineering, sustainable technology or a relevant field

  • Extensive knowledge and professional experience in performing LCA calculations, ESG reporting and implementing GHG and ISO standards in industrial or software companies

  • You speak both German and English at a native speaker level

  • Ideally, you have already worked with the ecoinvent database (version 3.x or higher) or any other LCI database

  • You are an expert in carbon footprint calculations, LCA and scope 1,2 and 3 and you are excited to share your knowledge with the team to support Carbmee’s growth

  • Excellent communicator, able to adapt your communication to different situations, scenarios and stakeholders

  • A data-driven and critical thinker combined with a business-oriented mindset, with excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills

  • A supportive team player with a strong work ethic, eager to learn and work independently as well as in a fast-paced team environment

  • Passionate about business sustainability, carbon emissions and decarbonization management in alignment with Carbmee’s mission and vision
