Your Role & Mission - We are looking for Senior Software Engineers enthusiasts to bring in backend expertise and share their knowledge with the team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing the backend systems that power our scalable, high-performance carbmee EIS™ platform.

Your tasks
We won’t list all tasks a Software Engineer should normally do. Instead, we say it’s up to you to make Carbmee one of the most reliable and bug-free softwares out there!
Here is what you get to accomplish that goal:
Work on a modern technology stack with Java, Springboot, Kotlin, RESTful API and PostgreSQL
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend systems
Build and optimize APIs to enable seamless integration with frontend and third-party services
Lead efforts in database design, optimization, and management (PostgreSQL)
Ensure our backend systems are secure, robust, and adhere to best practices
Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and data teams to implement end-to-end features
Shape our service-oriented architecture, participate in architecture design discussions and drive decisions on technical strategy
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and reliability
Work in small distributed interdisciplinary teams where everyone takes on ownership and responsibility
Always learn something. No matter how experienced you are, be open-minded and hungry for knowledge
Help fellow team members with your experience, work closely with our Head of Engineering and Engineering Leads, and shape the product roadmap

Your profile
We are looking for passionate and motivated senior engineers with at least 5 years of professional experience in software development working with Java and Springboot. Ideally also familiarity with Kotlin.
We value hands-on experience designing and implementing RestfulAPIs using Springboot
Familirity with PostgreSQL database and database optimization tasks
Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
You are exceptionally detail-oriented and passionate about your work
You rely on solid communication skills and you speak English at a fluent level
