Finance Operations - Manage and improve all day-to-day finance processes, including accounting, invoicing, payment runs, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring. Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and P&L reports.
Financial Control & Reporting - Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, internal reporting, and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Support the preparation of the annual financial statements and audits.
Budget Management Support - Maintain and update the rolling budget and forecast data in close collaboration with our Chief of Staff. Provide reliable actuals, ensure cost tracking, and surface potential issues or discrepancies proactively.
Cash & Payment Management - Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing payments, coordinate with external partners on payroll and tax topics, and ensure liquidity planning aligns with company priorities.
Process Development - Continuously improve and scale our financial processes and tools. Help implement and document policies that align with our growth stage and enable smoother reporting and audit readiness.
Collaboration - Communicate with external tax advisors and tax consultants and ensure a smooth cross-functional collaboration with all departments, including Operations, Revenue, Customer Experience, and the entire Management team.
Several years in accounting or financial operations, ideally in a fast-paced B2B SaaS startup, consulting, or similar environment with a focus on monthly closes, financial reporting, and compliance
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. CPA or equivalent qualifications are a strong plus
Solid understanding of accounting principles (HGB and/or IFRS) and controlling; experience with DATEV, Spendesk, and spend management tools is a plus
You’ve independently managed cash flow, budgets, payment runs, and reporting processes end-to-end and are confident in taking full ownership of finance operations
Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and experienced with modern finance tools (e.g., Salesforce, Google Workspace). You enjoy working with numbers and can extract insights from financial data
Fluent English skills, both written and spoken. German language knowledge is a great plus
You work precisely, communicate clearly, and enjoy making financial data understandable for non-finance stakeholders
